Create direct protocol document

With this workflow component you can merge an input file with a template to create the print data stream in the direct protocol format. This can later be sent to a (label) printer, that supports direct protocol.

 

The Direct Protocol output is stored in the payload of the workflow and can later be printed out, by sending the payload to a printer.

 

Before running the component you should consider to set various settings for the merge via the related advanced components e.g. Set DPI.

 

The input payload must be an XML or spooled file. A similar component for the intermediate payload is the Create direct protocol component.

 

The parameter is:

 

NG2WorkflowCreateDPcomponent0001

 

Template

The template (both InterFormNG2 and InterFormNG templates), that the input file is merged with to produce the merged output in the print data format, Direct Protocol. This can be a fixed value, but can also be set as an XPath expression.
