This section contains recommendations for setting up labels, that are to be printed on a label printer.
Label printers have a limited width and often labels are printed out, that are wider than the printer head. Many label printers have e.g. a print head, that is 4 inches (10 cm.) wide and if you want to print a label, that is 6 inches (15 cm) wide, then the only solution is to rotate the label.
Let us imagine, that you want to print out a label, that is 15 cm wide and 10 cm high like this:
Then you would to define your template like above, so that you can actually read the contents of the label and still you would want the label to be printed out like below:
In order to do that you just need to setup the page element like below:
Here you may notice, that the orientation, Landscape is selected and that the height is the longer distance (which in the real world is actually the length of the label) and the width is simply the width of the label.
