Print on LPD printer

This workflow component can be used, if you have too many printers to register them manually. The use of this component requires, that you have a license for InterFormNG2, that enables the use of an unlimited number of printers.

 

With this component you print directly to a LAN attached, physical printer via Line Printer Deamon (LPD). This can e.g. be used, if you want to print via print server.

 

The parameters for this component are:

Template

The template (both InterFormNG2 and InterFormNG templates), that the input file is to be merged with. This can be a fixed value, but can also be set as an XPath expression.

 

Mime type

The printer data stream, that is to be sent to the printer. Possible values are:

DP for Direct Protocol

PCL for Print Control Language - supported by most laser printers.

PDF Sends the print data stream as a PDF file. This requires, that the printer is PDF compatible (some laser printers are).

ZPL for ZPLII. This require, that the printer is fully ZPLII (Zebra Printing Language) compatible.

 

DPI

Dots Per Inch. The resolution of the printer. Select 600 for laser printers.

 

Printer address

The name or IP-address of the physical printer or print server.

 

Share name

The share name of the printer on the print server. If you are printing directly to a printer with LPD, then the share name should be the remote print queue.
